Air Quality Modeling

For Air Quality applications, specifically those related to AERMOD/AERMET we have developed modules for calculating Albedo, Bowen Ratio, and Surface Roughness in an automated manner.

Though these are generally tedious and time-consuming operations, our module calculates Albedo and Bowen ratio in seconds after a user has inputted a location on the map, and entered the date, season, and climate type (Airport Designation is currently not implemented).

In addition, we allow the user to run the analysis on a circle or a square of different sizes (as noted in the AERMOD implementation guide the default recommended size is a 10KM by 10KM square)

Finally, we provide a flash-based interactive slicer/sector tool to assist users in calculating the surface roughness, and allowing them to designate the angles for entry into AERMOD while viewing the landcover data.
